hi guys :D

I have been reading over Morten Albeks site and think it is well layed out with some excellent photography and interesting articles. more so on the smaller tree sizes but some bigger ones all the same, i have gone to this site a bit on the past for inspiration and it hasnt letme down yet, the photo galleries are packed full of great pics from over in japan and elsewhere, there are also some videos which i have yet to watch.

i have been reading some of the articles, they are not epic by all means but are quite easy to understand, and i thought some of the beginners and even more experienced would be interested in taking a look at it. im sure a lot have seen the site, but i find myself going back there every now and again and just browsing some of the excellent images.

so here is the site http://www.shohin-europe.com/index.html

and here are a few short articles i found quite interesting-

wabi sabi http://www.shohin-europe.com/ARTICLES-wabisabi.html

what is a shohin bonsai http://www.shohin-europe.com/ARTICLES-w ... onsai.html

get started well http://www.shohin-europe.com/ARTICLES-g ... dwell.html

this is an interesting "case study" of a very nice shimpaku, i think the dates are a little off though, I really like this one ;) http://www.shohin-europe.com/casestory-shimpaku.html

these are just a few of his articles and pictures, browse around the site and i am sure you will find something of interest to you.

cheers :D

I agree with Antonio, Albek'ss book is very good in it's contents and is well organised.

This site: http://www.wafu.com is also worth a look for the shohin obsessed among us, it is full of eye candy such as this:

Stay in the Japanese language section and click around to navigate your way through.

Cheers,
Mojo

mojo, just a little tip with the japanese sections when you hover over the writing, on the bottom left hand of your browser where it say waiting for this or downloading 2 pictures remaining etc, will tell you in english what they writing is when you hover over it.

As I understand it Morten and Walter are good friends. So it is interesting to see the differences in their advice.
