I have been asked to do some promotional articles for our coming convention. Trying to entice overseas and Eastern states visitors to our exhibition.

One of our sponsors is Virgin Blue, they have got on board so to speak. To help AABC if it works well they will continue, that has to be a benefit because the visiting tutor program will be able to avail themselves of cheaper Air fares. OK that's the commercial done.

I had of course been asked to photograph some of my natives, so we can show what can be done with them. You will know by now Melaleucas will be seen and plenty of them from Large to mini.
So to whet your appetite and in the hope of putting names to Faces. Here are some of mine.

I don't know who is organising this convention and whether its all finalised already but to quote Walter Pall from another thread...

"Thanks for the warm welcome. I was in the Canberra Convention in 2004 and would love to come back. My wife too. Last time we have missed Melbourne and a couple of other things. A simple e-mail will do wonders".

It would be nice to invite him to Freo in 2011 I reckon :D :D

Great to see a little Corymbia citriodora in there. Looks like you've been successful in reducing it's leaf size too.

G,day Neal this show is being organized, by the Bonsai Society of Western Australia, INC. All the visiting demonstrators have been organized. As they have busy schedules we have to get in early.

But if you want to invite Walter I am sure we could slot him in somewhere  :P :) the only thing is as you are aware we are a bloody long way from Melbourne   . :P :D

For any one who needs to know and I hope that is many, here is the web site http://www.bonsaisocietywa.com/convention.html

Cheers ;) Pup

Ps Yes there will be exotics on display.

It seems we would be hard pressed to find a better demonstartor than Lo Min Hsuan at the moment. I admire his work but have not been a great follower of his work because his results seem so far out of my reach.
I am very curious how his demonstrations will go :fc:
