Hello All,

Just brought my first juniper to style in a cascade style...any tips for these plants...they have always attracted me but I am not too sure where to start with them. Any advice would be great. Will try posting a pic but am having trouble working out how to do that through here. Maybe somebody can help me with that as well lol...

Cheers
Matt

G'day Matt, we really need a picture to help with your particular tree, junipers are great for most styles, look at as many pictures as possible and determine which is best suited to your tree.

Junipers are Verry Nice trees

Will shoot back well but only from a branchng that has green foliage on it. Do not cut back to bare wood only.
Takes root pruning well, but do so late winter and do not take too much green of at the same time.
Will take wire very well and are easy to bend. Wire in winter and you can leave it till well into spring

Full sun, reasonably fast growing, and they can be styled in to any style except maybe formal upright.

Foliage should be pinched back regularly to maintain shape rather than cut as the cut ends willl brown off
