you will have to give us some info on the pine john :)

is its needles born in two, thre or five? it looks to be two, how long are the needles, how long have you had it and in that time has it had any defining features you have noticed?

it looks like very tight foliage, i am wondering if it is a hybrid JBP, maybe a dwarf variety?

jamie :)

It will either be Mikawa or Yatsabusa. P thunbergii M or K.

The needles of Yatsabusa are stiffer and sharper than Mikawa.

My guess Mikawa.

It;s a 2 needle pine.
the needle is thick. like a jbp.
grafted.. i guess would be a hybrid... multiple candles.
had it for like a week.

the person i got it from said that he had it for like 1 yr. he told me the name but i forgot. just slip of my mind.

Hope that help.

Hi Dumper , there is a large nursery in a S.E Suburb that has pines for sale . They are selling JBP and Pinus Nigra's EBP however the Nigra's are labelled as JBP .I'm trying to get hold of the owner to see what the story is . I went to the nursery with another member and we spotted the differences .The stock came from a Victorian Wholesaler , i hope to get some answers to the mis labelled stock over the weekend .Cheers Alpine
