heres an olive i ripped out of my dads garden, winter 2006. the 1st photo is from dec 2006.

that's a really nice olive for "urban"

good taper, good size trunk on it, should be a goodie

got any recent photo's

jan 2008 after some carving, bad move in summer im not sure what i was thinking that time. even though the tree survived fine (only because it was an olive) more cambium died back than i would have liked.

after repot and styling multiple views. this winter i will refine the carving and burn it, then sulphur it.

ken thanks also; i guess i did the work with the front being somewhere between 26 & 32. however unconventional (the base moving towrds the viewer)with the carving that still remains to be done i really like 28 and believe its a winner. having said that in real life and with the vision of the finished work all the views are dynamic. this is not naturistic for olives by what we and most of the world are used to. but on the coastal cliffs in majorca spain, different story.

Wish I could find a friend with something like that in their garden. You are so lucky. Going to be a very nice tree and I agree, as much as photos can do it, #28 is good. Looking forward to seeing this in a couple of years time.

Gosh, I must be boring and predictable because this is what I see in this stock.

Please don't take offence Antonio, I am only sharing my thoughts, not knocking your vision.

dont be thcared jon, i wont take offence to that tone at all that has crossed my mind and even the other trunk on its own as a sumo; but when the dead wood and styling is finished i will get some good shots done and hope to change your mind.
