I bought this on evilbay last year bare-rooted & stuck it in this pot. Is it worth playing with? From memory its white flowering, I think these are used for root-stock but I've forgotten what exactly it is. There are a lot of suckers, how can I remove these and stop them re-ocurring.

G'day Redeye, there will be a tree in there somewhere. Wait till next spring. pull it out of the pot and repost it. that way we can get a better look at it. Some of our great virt Artists will help you out.

g'day redeye. i don't know the botanical name of this tree, but it appears to be the common variety that has green leaves, white flowers & green fruit ripening to yellow. for info regarding plum tree habits & how to drive them, go to a post called "plums in flower" that i posted on august 9th last year. this should help you understand these a lot better. they respond well to carving, but the wood is very hard & you will need good tools. you will have a lot of enjoyment out of this variety as they are truly a tree for all seasons. cheers, miyagiman.
