As promised i went and visited my friend Tom who has been involved with Bonsai for 64 years in Australia. He is a very generous and talented person who is also an exemplary Potter. He,as our Pup does, concentrates on miniatures and does it with great skill. He only occasionally produces a tree above 300mm but his forte is the size that he is seen holding. He, as i said earlier, is very generous and rarely keeps a tree, instead choosing to share the Bonsai spirit and sell or give them away after a period of time to people of his choosing. I have however seen him take a tree back out of somebody's hand after they declared they might possibly kill it. Sorry for the picture quality as it was raining and cold and miserable. : :)

Pics are great, thanks for sharing your visit with Tom, he sounds like an extraordinary man, Bodhi. 64 years with bonsai is a fair stretch of time and I bet he has a thing or to two up his sleeve to teach. Would be fantastic to see those small trees up close.
