hey all i have a native of tassie as one of my collection (two actually) Phyllocladus aspleniifolius also known as cellery top pine and Lagarostrobos franklinii better known as houn pine.

both are of mine are very happy and health in bonsai containers but the houn is such a slowwwwwwwwww grower i had to bring both over on the spirit of tassie the houn is possibly over fifty years and only stands about 3-4 foot but my cellery top is younger and stands about the same!

now i will try to get some pics together and post them up!

cheers damian

Hi Damian,
You will be waiting two lifetimes for these trees to do anything which is fine. There is a melbourne grower who likes this kind of material hes in his 80s now and still plugging on with these Tassy conifers. I have to agree with you that they are truely beautiful trees.
