Kauri as bonsai

Hi all,
A while ago i was given a pot with 4 kauri pine in it, over 2m tall & at the time no idea what they were i cut them back to the lowest shoot for each. They budded back all over the place so i finally got round to splitting them up into individual pots & shortened to between 15-20cm. Nothing worth taking pics of, just 2-3cm stumps.
I know they are regularly used as indoor hire plants because of how hardy they are, mine are ex hire. Given how much mistreatment they recieved in there former incarnation they should positively jump out of there pots now they are going to be getting better care, feed, water, light.... The leaves are large so will be alot of experimenting over the coming years to see what i can do with them, tho I will still be aiming for a larger size tree. Has anyone used them for bonsai or seen them used?
