Hi Jamie from personal experience they grow rather slow , i have had a White cypress pine for 11 years in the ground neglected , no care and its grown about 1 inch .No major improvement since the day i dug it up . Cheers

Do you ever say no to any material or do you collect everything in sight. I really like the placement of your trees, however i think that rock in the middle is too big. i would rather see a smaller rock towards the back of that opening, to look distant and create more depth. Then one slighty larger in the front somewhere with a smaller one again for perspective.

Its easy to talk the talk, but can you walk the walk . Get your boots on fella and come up and show me how to do it

Mate it took all of an hour to throw together and Yes i will gather anything , especially if i see a Grader plowing material over cleaning up the storm damaged . Right place , right time .Buy the way are you looking at the front or the back .Cheers

No prob i'll get up there and run the run

If the last pic is the front ??? the middle rock is still too big or needs turning to expose the trunks more. the hard bit is already done and well. playing with some different size rocks and possie's is the easy bit. In the end you are there and if its good for you , its good for me.

Aha the last pic is the back , enough room left to place a tree or two if needed . The front has 3 rocks of varied sizes , i might just push the bigger one down a bit or the trees MIGHT actually increase in size unlike the White cypress pine i have . But hey come up and do a slab planting with the little ones i have left Ii'm sure i could find a rock or 2 to play with.Cheers
