Collected Banksia Serrata

I decided to change this Banksias Pot today. I bought this tree in 2006 from the owner the Cambawarra Bonsai Nursery. I don’t normally buy other peoples trees but this tree was not grown in a pot it is a collected tree.
The owner at the time was a collector of many varieties of natives around that area and has a lot of accumulated knowledge. Not sure whether he is still collecting.
The bulbbus look is due to the areas he collected his Banksias. He told me that he only collected banksias that were growing on a rocky base. This insured that the active root system was close to the tree.
