Another one of my small figs with rock. It is still a little unbalanced but i am working on it. It is a collected fig and has lovely small leaves and very fine internodes. A little work to do but one of my favourite little trees.

BB, i can see a lot of work has gone in to this tree to create ramification and the sorts.

if you are after more taper in it though i can see a line that would work well and fix the unbalanced feel you are talking about. you would have to rebuild the apex but that isnt a prob and can be done quite quickly

i will do a mud map for you a bit later on my thoughts

I think the aerial root under the left branch should be removed. It is confusing the line of the branch and adding nothing to the tree. I agree that the top needs some shaping but that will come with time and patience. Nice sturdy tree, I can see why you are fond of it.

Hi Bonsaiboy,
I would like to see the apex moving to the left, by reducing the right side of the apex. This would give the composition more credibility as it grows away from the rock.

hey mate, i thought i would post up my idea for you anyway, people seem to be thinking along that line any way.
it also looks like this part of the trunk is coming forward, which is a good thing and as you want the apex coming slighly forward towards you
and this is how i think it should go somewhere along the lines of this anyways, a few of the airial roots un balance the tree, so with the removal of them and a rebuilt apex i reckon you will have a sweet tree

i dont think you are far of it anyway

I like it. I would like to see the left branch a little longer I think and then we would be headed toward an image of a big moreton bay fig.
