European hornbeam project

I bought this hornbeam from a Canberra club member's downsizing sale in August 2024.
I removed the leaves to get a better picture of the tree as a whole.
It appeared to have been in the foam box for a number years so I repotted in Spring 2024, fertilised and let it grow for 2024 season.
Unfortunately, there were a number of dead branches, some in important places, so they were removed. This autumn I lightly pruned and wired to allow better light into the interior.
Overall the tree has a long way to go but hopefully it is on the right track.
