Myrtleford show society runs a traditional rural show with cattle, horses, chooks, cooking, vegetables and BONSAI competitions.
At past shows Ian (Alpine Art) and Shibui competed vigorously for the prizes but since Ian has not been well there's little competition so we've been using the show as a publicity event for Australian bonsai and promotion for our local club.
Here's some pics of the overall display. Myrtleford has 6 classes for bonsai. This years entries were:
There's also a new class for novice (have not won at Myrtleford show) but no entries this year.
Next weekend we display at the much bigger Albury show where more club members enter trees in the 3 classes and we'll also put on another club member display with a couple of bonsai demos each day.
