Callistemon subulatus ‘Brogo Overflow' 1

In almost 30 years of having Bonsai, I've finally found a Callistemon I really rate for Bonsai potential.
This thing is gold for Bonsai. Incredibly hardy, and very short leaves, with short internodes, but the leaves don't mash too close together like some of the smaller shrub varieties that make it too stocky looking.
This is a very graceful species with weeping branches and a very elegant look to it. The flowers aren't large and are a perfect compliment for bonsai.

This was one worthy of its Sam Miller Pot (USA)

It was purchased from Glendale Native Nursery in Newcastle.

I am quickly changing as many trees to smaller ones before they are irreversible. This is one that I will keep small.
I've therefore given it a new Pat Kennedy home with one of Pats destressed pots, which is so apt for this species. Adorable callistemon this, and perfect for bonsai.
If you happen to find one of these, BUY it. The foliage stays very small and its super hardy and the flowers are smaller than most Callistemon.

This is the only Callistemon I've really been excited enough to pursue as bonsai. I find them normally a bit bland, but this tiny little guy is well worth it.
