A Cracking Good Banksia serrata

Hi, This tree is in the National Botanic Gardens here in canberra.

The Gardens now have a dedicated new area with lots of various types exhibited.

I have noticed huge cracks appearing in one of the street trees here, wonder if it's a La Nina effect?

No it’s just growth causing the bark to split. It does no damage to the tree and is standard for serrata to do this. Just impressive was all
