Summer Plums

What would summer be if I didn't post a story or three about the beautiful but humble plum?
It has been a good year for plum fruit and the birds are certainly enjoying them.
The first one up is my tall skinny plum, it has light green leaves and yellow fruit. I can assure you that the fruit is very sour and therefore the the fruit is only suitable for jam making.

Next up is a stock plant that will make a wonderful bonsai in the very near future.
This one has bright green leaves and dark red fruit and this fruit is delicious, trust me!

Last but not least is a small plum I have had for ages, red leaves and fruit to match.
Everyone needs a plum in their collection.

Very nice trees Watto. I wish plums would do well here, but it's too warm all year 'round. Great crop of plums on that first one, but you wouldn't get much jam, maybe enough for one piece of toast. ;)
cheers, Frank.

I simply love your plum post’s Watto. Between the birds, possums and rats my poor plums never get to ripen.
Look forward to seeing your trees in full bloom come Spring. And I think your “stock” plum needs you to make some stunning shoes. Keep posting more plums!
Cheers
Kirky
