What roots to cut

Hi, I want to repot a tree but I am not real sure if I have been cutting the right roots off or not..
I think that has been why my Azelia is not too crash hot at the moment.
I read all your coments and am trying to take it in, would there be a pic of one someone else has done. Thanks sheba53
