Juniper ID

I keep seeing this juniper around the beaches here in Perth.
Any idea what it is and has anyone used it for bonsai, the foliage looks great very fine even more so than shimpacu.

Looks like Callitris. Possibly preissii.

Looks like Callitris to me too. There are several native to WA.
ID for Callitris sp is based on foliage and cones - shape of the individual scales on the cones is usually diagnostic.

Yes that is almost definitely Callitris Preissii - Rottnest Island Pine. I am trialling it for bonsai currently with a few specimens. So far so good but early days.

Yes, Callitris Pressii, I had a row of them along my front boundary When I lived in Adelaide.
