These are false cypress. purchased in punnets as starters 4.5 yrs ago. planted into a poly box as a group and clip and grown. never seen wire. repotted last month and thinned out today.

Nice one ant. It would be even better if you build your own lanscape slap using some builder cement and sand. Then you could have a real nice beach setting

Otherwise, the trees look great without wires. I'm impressed.

Nice, a little rock or abit of ground cover of some sort would top this one off for me!

Hi Antonio, a couple of points, just some first impressions after a 60 second look.
To me the placement looks a bit.....evenly spaced.....and not cohesive as a group planting due to this. There doesn't appear to be enough height variation between the trees nor is there mush variation in caliper. The RHS tree reminds me a bit of a pitchfork, perhaps you could remove one of the lower branches.
Not an east species to work with though, I look forward to seeing it's progress. Was there a reason that you didn't wire the trees?
Cheers,
MM

hey MM, i agree with all that you have pointed out and that is why i titled it beach setting. like a bunch of cypress's at the beach that were looked after by the council and the weather.

i guess i have just never got round to wiring this one and always thought the foliage is too fragile and close together. lazy on my behalf ( for this one). with some tweaking theres lots of room to further improve this group, so im hoping some one else takes on the task. thanks for you're input MM.
