Windswept White pine

From the same batch as the other one. 22 years old but a layer obviously..
Originally 7 trunks now 5.

Looks fantastic! you dont see too many multitrunk white pines in Australia (or white pines in general for that matter)
You said it was a layer yes? I didnt realize it was possible to layer off white pines?

Yes it's quite possible to layer them especially when they are young. I put in a bunch of cuttings from 3 year old seedlings this year hoping to get some to strike.

Seeds are now very hard to find.

Excellent to know! I might give it a shot on a grafted one i've got.
Fingers crossed on the cuttings! Please let us know how you go with them!

Re the Layering,- JBP's are easy to layer as well. I bought a fairly large-ish JBP a couple of years ago and it had a very strong Y shaped trunk, so I took two layers off it and now have three thriving JBP's.
