G'day guys,

I was given this tree and the species is unknown to my mate, and I've not had much luck in identifying it myself, hoping someone here might have more of an idea!

Possibly Water Gum/Tristaniopsis laurina. Mature bark looks right, new shoots look right and leaves very close. It looks like the tree may have been cut hard which can produce large variability in the leaves. Can you post a photo of the whole tree please?
