Lockdown Dig - Buxus

The story begins maybe 3 or 4 years ago. I was trimming one of my Japanese box and thought it would be a good idea if I could grow a few cuttings and as such I put a few in an old nursery contraption that you buy seedlings in.
That contraption sat in one of the bonsai houses for a while and the seedlings appeared to be going fine, however one very windy day off the bench it went and on the ground. I decided to leave it there for a couple of days until the wind subsided but alas those few days turned into a few years. Today was the day to dig this and plant up the "cuttings" as a forest.

I prepared a largish tray for the project.

In the post dig photo I think the pots are a little too small!

Or maybe the trees are still a little too tall???
i think the pot suits the trunk size but the trees could be reduced in height quite a lot at some stage and would then be much better match.

I really like your buxus forest. I never even thought of doing one but I'm thinking about it now. Keep us posted on the progress :tu:
