Hedge ID please

Hey guys, this hedge is available to dig. I see these hedges around Perth and I think some can be quite old with massive trunks. The foliage looks very scrappy.
Does anyone know what they are and if they are good for bonsai?

Hi Paul
Looks like Agonis flexuosa (Peppermint). They build a big barky trunk but not sure how they respond to training.

ID of unknown trees is not all that easy. You seem to mange to post the worst photos for ID.
Getting good Id requires good photos. We really need to see the whole tree (as in the photo supplied here), a closer shot of the leaves, a look at the bark if possible and the bees knees for ID is a good pic of flowers or seeds. Each of those things will help eliminate a bunch of possibilities.
As it stands with this photo it could be Agonis but could also be callistemon and a number of other species.
Please help us to help you and take some clear photos of the tree you want to ID.
