The leaves look a little crispy, maybe dried out at some stage or wind damage? Some direct sun is always a plus to keeping a healthy tree whether it’s a maple, elm, pine, native... whatever. If you can find a spot that allows access for an hour or so (preferably more) that helps with health. It doesn’t look to be in a dire state as yet!

Looks like wind/sun/heat damage. As per Ryceman it should be ok if you keep it a little protected during the hot days. Keep watered but don't over do it. With a fewer functioning leaves it won't drink as much.
Maybe move some of the soil from the pot edge and cover the roots a little. Nebari will come in time.

How close to the windows/glass was it? Those background plants are too close to the glass for my comfort. I imagine there could be a lot of heat bouncing off that glass. Last week has been rough on my herbs/eadibles, though bonsai have been coping mostly OK, ha d afew cripsy leaves too, which I've just pinched off.
