I'm in love with this tea tree

Sorry, its just a play on words. This is Leptospermum 'Love Affair' which as usual I bought for the flower colour. It is in a hand made Aussie pot that I thought would help set off the colour of the flowers. It is only young but as part of a shohin setting it could be very useful in the future.

Great choice of pot/tree combination.

Thanks. I have quite a few "earthy" coloured Australian made pots but occasionally you need one with some colour I think.

Ever since the Native contest, I am in love with tea trees too.
Your tree is the reason why.

The flowering on a lot of Tea trees is magnificent.
But im very selective about what gets into my ‘top 50’ collection now. There are the usual suspects, casys, Mels etc
But with Leptospermum I now have to find both the foliage and flowers attractive to keep them.
I’ve rid myself of ‘plane Jane’ varieties if all I’m doing is waiting to see them in flower. This one has interesting foliage Watto

nice trial.
I’m also so glad to see so many people going back to scoparium. For too long it’s been thought they are too hard to grow.
Also, some of the more obscure shaped leaves of some of the unique Leptospermum makes them fascinating material.
