I finally collected this Juniperus communis growing in my neighbourhood (been eyeing it for over a year). I collected it in late summer trying to get all roots. Planted it with sphagnum moss around the roots and pumice for the rest. I've been misting until our wet autumn set in and keeping it in a shaded, wind protected spot
