Hey,
I’m in Canberra for the night and was wondering if there are any bonsai nurseries that I could visit.
Thanks.

Canberra doesnt have any bonsai nurseries. You can buy material from willows park in yarralumla, thats about it. Most people source from sdyney or local members will sell at club meetings.
Good luck with your hunt

They have heaps of great native material to start one yourself.

I shouldn't be letting the cat out of the bag but at Willow Park, just across the road from Cool Country Natives, there is a large number of bonsai pots for sale.

Drop Casuarinas. Very dangerous. If you camp under them... bang! A limb lands on your tent.
Avoid them.

Thanks, Rory and Keels. Never heard of that Casuarina before. What size trunk did they have, Keels? Thicker than a pencil?
Watto: the pots at Willow Park are quite pricey, but there were still a few real treasures when I looked last.
Also: the Natives Corner was rather messy at the time, but there again. there were some interesting ones, and some on sale. Furthermore, it's worth looking for the 'reject c orner' hidden at the back.

If possible, I'd really like to know if their Natives are just tube stock or larger.
