Mid-winter Flowering

In this neck of the woods it has been a very mild winter so far and I think this has encouraged some of the bonsai to put on an early display.
This Rosemary will be in full flower in a few weeks I think, but just in case the weather turns foul, here is a photo. It is always nice to see flowers, but in mid winter it is a real treat

Thank you. I find rosemary one of the most difficult plants to bonsai. You need to be on your guard all the time.

If anyone has any tips on growing rosemary as bonsai I would be most grateful.

I was going to ask you that very question, I took one out of the garden last year. I did not remove any o the soil surrounding the root ball as I had read they can be touchy about being disturbed to much.
I am planning to try and reduce the roots in spring and introduce some different substrate but don't know how much of a change it will tolerate.

Post repotting time appears to be the most stressful, both for the tree and the owner. I find that they are very sensitive to root disturbance but that is probably because I am yet to discover the optimal time for that activity.
