Nice pond Paddles, slightly larger than your old one! What liner did you use?

Steven

the small pond (Now used as the header pond) is plastic, the creek and main pond are lined with pond liner with stones overlaid to hide it. it is developing well.
We have plantedd a lotus up in the header pond, and have multiple waterlilys in the main section. we have some large goldfish, some catfish, and some white clouds (Which strangely enough are black) in the pond, all breeding merrily so we must be doing something right. There is a pretty massive pump and filtration system attached.
eventually two magnolias will provide shade.

Nice pond Paddles - I especially like the figurine in the middle. Is it a fountain of any description?

yes it is a fountain, but I only run it in winter. water lilys dislike being splattered. we have a spitter and a waterfall for oxigenation of the water (The primary purpose of a fountain)

Today marks the end of an era... we took out the pond... sad but needed to be done. for all those who put in ponds, please remember, like bonsai, maintenace is important... and possibly a shot gun to get rid of the blasted heron.

Commiserations Paddles. I'm sure you'll have pond memories of it, even if the heron was a pain!
