Hi All,
Posting for a mate who is not on this forum.
He got up this morning to find what look like white ants crawling all over it.
If so what should he do??
Cheers
Darren

Termites don't like light, so unless you break open a nest or wood they are feeding on, I wouldn't expect to see them on the surface like this. Suggest it could be something else but hard to tell from the photographs.

You are right, probably not termites, but hard to say with that picture, they are usually seen when are in the winged stage and setting up a new colony and it is a bit early for that, they do that on warm nights in summer :imo:

Still not a great photo.
Hopefully bit easier to see what they look like

It's hard to tell the scale. They look like springtails to me, which are about 1-2mm in size and like moist conditions. I mainly see them in my worm farm and they disappear if it gets drier.
