Yeah it was a great day. Damn! I didn’t take any photos. I was too busy being happy in my element all day talking to new people about Bonsai. :D
I loved how many natives there were.

Yep. Awesome show. Some really fantastic trees. Great demos. And successful auctions.

Great job to all involved. The numerous volunteers, all the sponsors and especially those responsible for making this happen.

Is anyone going to tell us what tree(s) took out the awards?
Looks like an alocasuarina? with 2 cards. Did that one pick up both major prizes?

I think this is a fantastic concept and the effort put in by the organizers should be applauded. I am very hopeful that this will be an annual event and can only go from strength to strength.
I am sure the organizers learnt a lot from this first attempt but more importantly exhibitors would have learnt that we all need to up our game to put on a really excellent show and reward the organizers for their effort.
Anyway, I had a great time and I would like to share a few photos for those who couldn't make it this year.

For the first time in history I managed to come away from a show without buying a pot, not because there were not some fantastic pots there, there were, but the shed is full!
A couple more photos.......
