Harry seems to be the only person showing pics, that I've seen. Yes, these two are both very interesting trees.

Funny - initially, I thought the double award winner (pomegranate) was displayed in an odd way and then I realised that the two interesting plaques are probably the awards!
I also thought is was another large based tree but not so simple .... it’s hard to see at that resolution but it looks like a wonderful, interesting twisted trunk.

The cascade is wonderful but I find the stand takes away from the trunk - it competes with it rather than compliments it.

Anyway - I am probably just in a picky mood! They are clearly wonderful trees.

Thanks for the photos Mel.
I have made an assumption (dangerous I know) that the cascade is a blackthorn.

Hi Lisa, thanks for the link. I'd tried to watch the videos but they're pretty hard for me to focus on. Especially the bits out of focus....lol.

I suffer from some sort of eye/brain co-ordination problem that just wants the damned thing to hold still so I can see the tree!

Watto, you are correct, it's a blackthorn.

To be honest, my first impression of that Pomegranate was that it looks like a highly ramified shrub in a bonsai pot. :duckingforcover:

That's why I asked, because I was thinking the same....it sure doesn't appear to be a tree...

When looking at the close up shots though, it would be tough to cut any of those low branches off without ruining the trunk...

It's a conundrum...

Thank you Lisa. I like the raft tree at .26 what about the tree in the yellow pot at 3.12 (yum) and the display at 3.57 (wow) then nearly every tree after 4.23. I fairdinkum love em all after that time except perhaps stumpy trunk at 6.07.

Thanks Lisa - wonderful

Yep, I feel it needs some negative space. Although I absolutely admire the skill taken to get it to this stage.
