Hi all,

I’m onsite right now and saw this guy. Is it too late to save him? My guess is it has been out of the ground a few days. It looks to be drying out a bit

How hot has it been over the last few days?
If you think it’s worth the time and effort to drag it home and pot it up.

Thanks Tim, it’s been in the low to mid 30’s and very humid over the last couple of days. I might grab it just to try. What’s the worst that can happen?

looks like some sort of conifer. Often a bit harder to transplant at the best of times but I have frequently been surprised by trees that have recovered after several days out of the ground so always worth a try.

Thanks for the feedback guys. It's soaking in some seasol now so we shall see. I was surprised when I cut the top off however. It seems pretty dry and very light so I don't like my chances but for the sake of some seasol and a bit of soil its worth the try. So sad, so many trees and roses got ripped out, I'd love to be able to save one.
