G’day everyone,
So my first entry into this competition is going to be an interesting choice. It has very large leaves and I am interested to see if I will be able to do anything to make the leaves smaller. I fear that I won’t ba able to but this is about learning for me, not winning. I have absolutely no experience with Bonsai so I’m hoping to have a live tree in a bonsai pot at the end of the competition. Let the journey begin.
Tree Species: Brachychiton populneus
Purchased: Bunnings $10.96
Coming in under 1cm
And then the full tree. I have done no work on it as yet. I will be copping it back rather brutally in the hope that I can get some taper and a bit of movement. We will see how we go!
