My third entry is Eucalyptus scoparia (Wallangarra white gum).

E. scoparia is a medium sized tree (~15m) originating from the elevated areas of the Wallangarra area in Northern New South Wales. It is fast growing with a smooth powdery white to grey trunk. The broad, spreading crown has an open, weeping habit and bears narrow green leaves. In spring and summer small white flowers appear followed by small oval gumnuts.

Purchased as tubestock from the Newcastle Wildflower Nursery, can't remember the exact price but pretty sure it was below $5.

Unfortunately I'll need to withdraw this one as it was a victim of the 'widow maker' in my neighbours yard (a mature Eucalyptus saligna / Sydney Blue Gum), which dropped yet another branch in last nights storm and wiped out this tree (amongst others).
