I recently put this Rosemary into a new pot and now I am not sure which is the best viewing side. I know that bonsai should be able to be viewed from multiple sides, but when you set it up for exhibition you only get the choice of one usually.
If you wouldn't mind casting a vote so I may glean the knowledge of many on the best side. Comments and suggestions are of course most welcome.

Option B for me Watto... I like the dead wood and for me it is best showed from this angle. I wouldn't protest too hard if you went with Option A though, it also has merit. You seem to have a knack with Rosemary!

Really nice Watto - I like both views, but Option A preferable for me - healthy foliage mass coming towards.

Option A for this black duck. I feel this gives a much greater sense of depth and some mystery to the jins too. Option B is a bit blunt/in your face; not much left to the imagination. For someone with about four different voices in my skull - all who often debate each other - Option A was agreed by all four. I've only voted once though.

'a' for me-but with the dead wood on the upper left separated from the canopy -ie reduced back down a couple of inches to the green area of the dead wood

A, for me Watto, if I'm just considering the tree,
but B, if I take the tree and pot as a unit which makes me think that B is your option too.

I think the pot was 'made' for this tree!

Lovely tree, Watto. I suspect that A will be better in real life, and in B I think the Jin takes too much of the centre stage.

You have a tree that you can enjoy from a number of angles. No need to decide or define.

Angle A for me. Would love to see it in a smaller or less chunks pot.

Option A is my vote. The movement seems more "complete" and detailed for the scale of the tree. It might just be the dip in the pot lip is lower in A so the movement up to the apex of the tree is longer.

Rosemary are difficult to bonsai as they don't like their roots disturbed and as such the reduction in the root ball to get it into a smaller pot will take about 20 years (I hope I'm still around then) and they don't shoot back on old wood. I made a pot for this tree and come re-potting time it was too small and this pot was on stand by, on the bench, in reserve, waiting in the wings, the back up, emergency reserve etc and was press ganged into action.
Its funny that there has been over 200 lookers and less than 30 voters????

Option A and love the pot

I prefer Option A.
I find that the foliage is almost a flat top. Is this the look you are going for? If it were mine I would look to splitting the foliage mass into at least two areas and try to get some differing height between the two. Not criticising just musing what I would do if it were mine.
