This has been here before a long time ago. It has been neglected over the last year, as I have other things on my mind.
However it was time for a clean up, so I did, apparently this is closely related to Leptospermum madidum. If so they do shoot back readily on old wood.
Although they do not strike too well from cuttings as the brachyandrum does.
Mine is in need of work, which will happen in the next couple of months, one thing is to never let them get dry, always wet.

Is this one a smooth barked species of Lepto, or did you peal the bark? The trunk/bark reminds me of a gum in those photos.

This one exfoliates of its own volition as part of it growing cycle nice colours in bark changes, one of the reason for growing them.

That really is a pretty spectacular looking trunk. I've not seen one before, but will be keeping my eye out. Very nice Pup, I like it ... a little bit different and plenty of character.

I have started with some tube stock of this species but they a very slow. Was your one collected? If not do you have any tips on growing them fast?

Sorry Symon mine was from advanced stock of a friend many years ago.
