Part 1 What Pine is this?

Hi all,

Just a piece of light relief but you must see no 4. I will pots it this evening.

What is your best guess of the pine I am pointing at? And no it is not a parrot on my shoulder.

Hey Grant,

Have no idea of the pine...the photographer was a bit far for identification. However with you striking that pose, standing on that rock, looking very authoritative. I'd follow you into the bush any day :D

I believe this pine is a Monterey Pine. Radiata.

3 needles on a monterey pine...

Definaetley a Radiata just from colour, pattern and profile as a young plant alone. 3 needles and its a clincher.

Lots to dig all around Australia but see if you can get seedlings under or near hundred year old trees rather than recent forestry as they are bred for no side branches.
