Hi All ,
Collected this little tree last year ,it was growing with several more interesting trees .I was curious to see if it would amount to anything, so it came home with me as well .Has been sitting in a corner and pretty much left to its own devices. To my surprise it has started to push out a beautiful yellow flower. Could end up a fair size. Hopefully some good folk might be able to I.D. it and any experiences with these. Thanks John.

That is a nice surprise, could it possibly be Isopogon anemonifolius?

Correct. I always remembered Isopogon because its common name is "Drumsticks".

Definitely isopogon. I'm actually surprised you have been able to collect this. I've believed that isopogon are normally quite difficult to transplant.
Keeping it alive long term could be an issue though. In the garden they are quite prone to sudden death for no apparent reason. you have done well so far so :fc: for further success. please document any work you do with this one because any info will be valuable.
