School of Bonsai and AusBonsai Member tree sale

Doug is a member of the School as well as a member here as Blacknight. and has recently become quite ill.
As a result he can no longer maintain the amount of trees that he has so woud like to sell some to reduce the workload to maintain the rest.

to Facilitate this sale, i have been helping to arrange a sale day for him at Ray Nesci Nursery on Sunday 1st October.
The sale will kick off at 10am, and go thru till all sold or about 3pm
Most of his trees are in bonsai pots with some of those being expensive Japanese pots.
We are not sure on prices yet, but some will start from around $50. Ray will guide Doug on prices when he can get the trees to the nursery

Please come along and help out a fellow forum and school member to give the trees a good home where they can be cared for.

See the flyer below for more info and some of his trees are attached

Blacknight is a name that registers with me from this forum so whilst I don't know Doug personally I am sorry to hear he is not well and wish him all the best. May he sell a few trees to ease his workload and (with any luck) aid in his personal recovery. Good luck Doug... I hope to see you posting here again soon.

Just an update with some sad news,
Doug has been in hospital since the sale day battling cancer, and I am sad to let you all know he passed away last night.

At least now he is at peace, but that is little consolation to his family and friends.

RIP Doug Edwards, aka Black Knight here on AusBonsai.

ps no decision on his trees as yet, but I suspect many will need to be sold off to people that can care for them. His family will keep a few of his special ones no doubt and when I know I will update this thread

That is very sad news indeed Ken & as previously mentioned, condolences to all that knew him.
A active member who was so willing to freely share knowledge (or even just a friendly reply) - Black Knight will be greatly missed.
