Banking on a late growth season.

Because of the unusual weather here (and probably everywhere) i am pruning hard fertilising, lightly and repotting my grow on trees. I usually do very little work on future stock and just let them do their thing but i reckon the way it is looking, my trees do not look like slowing down any time soon. I will take the opportunity to have a look and see how they are doing instead of just watering them. It will probably take a few days and i will add, especially the Japanese maples. Interesting times.

Things are slowing down here. I don't know if you will get much strong growth now - and your colder than me.

Hot here too but the days are shorter. The trees know what's coming. eg, My chinese elm is still growing and still being fertilized well but it's not putting out the shoots it did a month ago. It's all good..

Yes, weeding goes without saying. Healthy trees=healthy weeds.

It's been mid to highs 30's here all week , been on a roof for 4 days so no time for the tree's . Just had a decent thunder storm hit an hour ago with 10 mm of rain in 10 minutes :D , hopefully more to come later tonight , Growth here is still powering along with hot days ahead .

Cheers . Alpine
