Guys,

Had a small Juniper that wired this morning a little bit. This was my first attempt at wiring so I am sure I have done some mistakes at least.

After wiring. Hopefully I can make into something that I am thinking about.

Then yesterday I bought this other Juniper for $35 so I can prune and wire it for practice. This is about 8-10 years old or at least thats what I have been told.

So I pruned it almost bare and did some wiring.

There were three branches near bottom trunk. I kept one and got rid of two. Not sure if that was the right thing to do but anyways cant do much now. I am not going to change the shape too much as I am complete noob so this is more to learn.

Your wiring needs to be tighter
Also I would suggest trying to get some interesting movement in the trunks
Google juniper bonsai or more specifically the type of styling you want, i.e. Semi cascade or cascade juniper Bonsai
Look at some images and find some inspiration

Just take it easy, bend a little at a time.
I don't think you taken too much off.

Ok so I rewired both trees again. I think first one is much better but second larger Juniper could have been better.

Don't want to change much with this tree.
Juniper 2 rewire 1.jpg
Will curve the main branch and straighten it at the bottom. Will bring the second branch on the left lower than main branch and curve it underneath the main.

There were three branches at bottom and I have left this sacrificial branch. Bought some fertiliser too and mixed with soil. Now lets see. I really want to repot the first juniper in a larger box to thicken trunk but will have to wait till winter I suppose.
