Airlayering?

Are Banksia Integrifolia suitable for airlayering?
This has a nice trunk down low. Thinking about wiring the top into some interesting form and developing a new leader.
If airlayering is not suitable I'll do a trunk chop.
All ideas welcome

I can't see why not..
A quick search of the forums yielded this IMO cool looking layer: viewtopic.php?f=142&t=12223&p=128356&hi ... er#p128356

Maybe our resident layer expert Ray might chime in?

Give it a go Ben. Lots of these are grown as cuttings so if that's possible so is layering.

Quick update. Did the airlayer 3 or 4 weeks ago. The whole tree is looking very well and putting out plenty of new growth! ImageImage
