1st picture how it was 2 months ago. Thought it had some white mealies on it, (wasn't looking the best) so I hit it with some Confidor. Kept it in the shade The leaves died up and fell off and 2nd and 3rd picture is how it looks now. Some tiny little leaves have shown up, but definitely not the same tree. What should I do? Should I trim this tree back some.

Do you have some higher resolution images?

Have you scratched off some bark to see if it's still green underneath?

Pictures aren't much to go by.
As its an Elm put it back where you had it before the Confidor and Power feed it. Should come good in a few weeks.
Cheers

I don't think you should b blaming the confidor. Far more likely it was not getting enough water at some stage or some other issue that you did not notice. Fungal infection is also a possibility, especially if it was root pruned last winter.

It does not look good in the photos but elms are tough so there is still hope.

:lost: What tree is it then?
New leaves on an elm can look different but should eventually end up normal.
If it has a fungal infection which can produce distorted, miniature leaves on elms keep the soil on the dry side for a while, maybe try a systemic fungicide and :fc:
