Hey guys, i got this tree at the beginning of the year and it seems to be doing okay, i don't really know what to do with it next in terms of styling. i slip potted it when i got it as it was pretty root bound.
it is planted so high because my dog knocked it of my bench and i just left it like that aha

if anyone has any advice or tips on where to take this tree it would be greatly appreciated!
I think a cascade or semi cascade could look good, also im not 100% as to what type of juniper it is :palm:

Thats a nice plant. I think its already determined full cascade, but I'm new at this Bonsai thing.

I suppose that top leader could develop into something too.

Looking forward to seeing its progress.

Cheers

Cheers for the reply fruitfly

i have just discovered a local bonsai group where i live so im really excited to take this particular tree to their next meeting !

i kinda like the cascade styles with a little bit of tree on the top too so that could be a good option :tu:

Take it to the class, and find out what variety it is. Looks like the ground cover variety, and they aren't the best for bonsai...

Gday Raymond, i have a feeling it might be a ground cover variety.
I think ive read somewhere that groundcover junipers make good cascade and semi cascades ? i could be wrong tho

Here we go Ky,had a few of theses junipers sitting around,so decided to put a cascade spin on it,not great stock(just tied two main trunks/branches together, one for the top one for the bottom if you like),but we will see what will become, this one will have two tails just like yours.

just make sure you put some movement in to tails and top, anyway maybe something there for you (just saves me drawing lol),...don't mind the new deck either..the apprentice is pretty relaxed too lol.

Good luck looks like really good material..cheers
