Callistemon stump

Hi guys,
I'm in Perth, kelmscott area and I was wondering if anyone would want a stump like this one. The shrub was about 1m high and 2m diameter. I'm not sure exactly what bottlebrush it is but it has those real small spiky leaves. And I also haven't seen it flowers. Sorry about the photo, but the stump is probably about 40cm high at the highest point, and that trunk goes a little flatter into the plane of the photo than it looks.
Thanks for any advice, I have yet to do a bonsai and I feel this one is a bit out of my depth. I have a few ficus cuttings I'm working on to get me started.

Hi Ken,
I'm just trying to figure out if it's worth selling, and to be honest I would happily give it away.

Are you sure it's Callistemon??? Your pics remind me of a Melaleuca I know...

By all accounts it's a rampant grower in South WA but I could be wrong...

Yeah not so sure about its callistemon status anymore, but it's sold.

I was thinking melaleuca huegelii... flowers would certainly help with a conclusive ID. I'm pretty sure it isn't Callistemon.

Was thinking the same, branches at the base look very promising, can picture a nice root spread beneath the soil. Whoever bought the tree, would be good to see a pic once removed.

Thanks treebuilder, do you have any other pictures, perhaps a bit further away so that we can see full tree? Looks like a fantastic base, cannot make out what is happening, what's the yellow stick for?
How's this one doing after the dig?
