Yamadori Plum has a hissy.

My big Plum was attacked by the resident Ring Tails as soon as the buds burst but shot back fairly well.
Taking a squizz this arvo before the rain to see how it's going I spied a bulge at a point where I have put a couple of saw cuts to bend a branch.
Rubber coated the split was obvious.
A partially/accidental/incomplete air lay had formed.
Not to waste I cut it back, notched and treated the callous and stuck it in a pot.
Here it is .What the future holds we will see.
Maybe the proverbial 'Silk purse from a pigs ear' :fc:
Cuttings per-say strike very well from this tree. I struck the branch that was just forward and sawn off in the pictures and is now a 60mm butt and 550mm long.

Steve.
