Hi there,

is Damian Bee still active on this forum ? I purchased some great pine bark chips from him a few years ago for a potting mix, but notice he hasn't logged in for months.

Anyone know where I can purchase bags of 4-6 mm pine bark chips in Melbourne ?

Thanks in advance. Brian.

I normally get them from Gardenworld on Springvale rd. They're in the orchid section.

Hi Brian,

I purchase 6-9mm orchiata pine bark nuggets from a member of the Vic Native Bonsai Club at their sale day recently, but I have also seen her table set up at other club sale days (BSV from memory). She sells smaller grade as well (3-6mm I believe) both in 40L bags. Also sells 35L bags of diatomite and orchid pots if you need them. You can get in contact through her Facebook page called Bonsai Roots - https://www.facebook.com/BonsaiRoots2015/

Cheers,
Pearcy.

Hi Brian,
Damian does still offer bonsai soil and I am assuming pine bark separately if that is what you are after... I'm sure if you contacted him he could probably hook you up (if you have no luck elsewhere).... otherwise I think the source Pearcy is referring to is Bonsai Roots??? Maybe? Good luck with it.

EDIT: Yes, Bonsai Roots ... as his link suggests!! :palm:
