Here is a collected English elm i purchased as raw collected material in September 2015. This tree has been the most incredible tree to develop! not even 12 months as life as a bonsai and its looking very presentable. the tree was completely wired originally and potted at a new angle the same month i bought it. Nearly all the available branching was utilised to form the framework of the tree, the months following have focused on advancing the ramification and wiring the new growth when leaf drop was occurring a few months ago. i recently potted it again into this slightly smaller to than what it was in to finish off the image for now.

A mate of mine noticed this tree resembled humbly a nice fat old lamb shank (particularly from the left side angle) so he was named so accordingly 8-)

Very cool Hugh. How big is it? That trunk looks so chunky!

Cheers,
